Back there, in November, I witnessed a short-circuit at the mouth of the tunnel. Flames crackled in a raging surge towards the heavens before turning into dust. The tide slipped the sand a final mercurial kiss before succumbing to the whiteout. Even the eye of God let his amber iris blaze before the advancing haze of sleep.
